Musk-Zuckerberg fight to be held in ‘epic location’ in Italy

Washington DC, Aug 11 (EFE).- The hypothetical fight between Elon Musk and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg will be held in “an epic location” in Italy following an agreement with the Italian government, the Twitter owner said on Friday.

“Everything in camera frame will be ancient Rome, so nothing modern at all. I spoke to the PM of Italy and Minister of Culture. They have agreed on an epic location,” Musk said on Twitter, now renamed X.

“Everything done will pay respect to the past and present of Italy,” he said, adding that all proceeds from the fight will “go to veterans.”

However, Musk, who also owns Tesla, did not confirm whether the fight would take place in the Colosseum, as suggested in previous messages.

The possible fight, which is yet to be confirmed, will be managed by Musk and Zuckerberg’s foundation and not by the mixed martial arts firm Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

The match is to be broadcast live both on Twitter and on the platforms of Meta – owner of Facebook, Messenger and Instagram, among others.

In June, the two billionaires – competing for control of the digital space – agreed to a physical fight through a series of social media posts on their respective platforms.

Musk even mentioned that this fight could take place in Las Vegas or in the Colosseum in Rome.

However, it remains unclear if it was all a joke or if the two rivals were serious.

Musk, 52, has been training with Lex Fridman, a Russian-American computer scientist passionate about Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), and with George St-Pierre, widely regarded as the greatest fighter in mixed martial arts history.

Zuckerberg, 39, has won BJJ fights and recently shared on his networks that he has installed an octagon ring in his backyard. EFE
