Kyiv, Jul 29 (EFE).- Ukrainian President Zelenskyy visited the frontline in Bakhmut on Saturday hours after Russian forces struck buildings overnight in the southern city of Dnipro.
Nine Ukrainian civilians were wounded during a Russian attack on Dnipro late on Friday, Ukrainian authorities said.
“Already nine people were injured in the missile attack on Dnipro with two children among them: 14 and 17 years old. They have aqua barotrauma. Two 20-year-old girls have the same diagnosis,” regional leader Serhiy Lysak said on Telegram.
Five other people – four men aged 18 to 53 and a 77-year-old woman – suffered lacerations, Lysak added.
According to the Ukrinform news agency, the Russian strike hit the headquarters of the Ukrainian Security Services in Dnipro as well as an apartment block.
Over on the frontline, Zelenskyy’s office announced the president was visiting Bakhmut where he congratulated Special Operations Forces soldiers on a national holiday.
“Today, I am here to congratulate our warriors on their professional day, to honor their strength. I heard a commander’s report, talked with the warriors. Very powerful, very effective. Thank you!” Zelenskyy said on Telegram.
He said that the details of the current SOF operations would be revealed with time and praised their heroic performance, according to Ukrinform.EFE
