The presidential office stated that Russian forces attacked Kharkiv in the northeast of Ukraine, resulting in the deaths of at least two people and injuries to three others.

Chief of the presidential staff, Andriy Yermak, reported that the attack hit a residential house in Kucherivka village in the region.

On the previous day, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s office reported two civilian deaths after a Russian missile struck a blood transfusion center in Kruhlyakivka village, Kharkiv.

Explosions continued throughout Sunday in the city and other towns of Kharkiv, leading to at least one more death.

Officials confirmed that on Monday, a woman was killed, and eight other civilians were injured in the southern Kherson region.

The shelling began just before 1 am and persisted for several hours, according to Governor Oleksandr Prokudin, who communicated the information through the Telegram messaging app.

Prokudin added that several people were injured during the shelling, including a person with reduced mobility and a 93-year-old woman.

“Kherson faced a difficult night… The Russian army continued to shell Kherson residents’ homes in the central part of the city,” Prokudin said.

He further noted that the shelling lasted for several hours through the night.

Kherson remains a priority target of Russian attacks, especially after Ukrainian troops managed to regain control of part of the city and the surrounding region in November, following months of enemy occupation.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces targeted 10 sites in the Russian-occupied area throughout Sunday, as reported by sources from the Army’s General Staff. EFE
