Bangkok, Jul 10 (EFE).- At least two people were killed and several injured after an under construction bridge collapsed on several cars in Bangkok city on Monday.
Local media reported the Overpass Bridge flipped over during rush hours with significant traffic in the area, also destroying several cars.
Videos posted on social media showed the metal and concrete segment of the bridge falling down, leaving a cloud of dust in the area.
According to the Khaosod news portal, the incident took place at a construction site in Lat Krabang, in the east of the Thai capital.
Authorities have urged the public to avoid the area for the time being.
In May, seven people, including four children, died and 18 were injured after strong winds caused a metal roof on a school’s activity center to collapse in Phichit province, some 300 kilometers north of Bangkok. EFE
