Neymar to miss rest of group stage with ankle knock

Doha, Nov 25 (EFE).- Neymar Jr. will miss the rest of Brazil’s group stage matches due to an ankle injury picked up against Serbia, the team’s doctor confirmed Friday. 

The forward suffered damage to his ankle ligament and will sit out the team’s upcoming games against Switzerland and Cameroon, Rodrigo Lasmar told reporters.

The Paris Saint-Germain player was forced off the pitch in Brazil’s 2-0 victory over Serbia.

His teammate Danilo will also sit out the rest of the group stage due ankle ligament damage, the doctor confirmed. EFE
