Bogotá (EFE). — Colombian singer and songwriter Tory Teler has released his new single “Ojitos Verdes,” a track that reflects the emotional impact of recognizing authenticity in another person, the artist announced in a statement.
The song became available on digital platforms on Nov. 6, 2025, marking a new step in Teler’s development as a performing artist, following several years during which he focused primarily on songwriting for other musicians.
“Ojitos Verdes” was written and composed by Mateo Urán Diez (Tory Teler), produced by Alejandro Tapias Rojas (Alec), and mixed and mastered by Luis Manuel Gutiérrez. The release is under the Tory Teler label, with YT Rocket Publishing serving as the music publisher.
The song blends Latin trap, an urban genre rooted in trap beats and Caribbean rhythmic influences, with R&B, known for its smooth melodies and emotionally expressive vocals.
Tory Teler enhances this mix with Latin rhythmic elements, adding warmth and depth that complement the story behind the lyrics. The result is an intimate and genuine sound, where urban, melodic, and Latin identities coexist seamlessly.
The track is based on a personal interaction in which the artist felt an immediate emotional connection with someone whose presence and expression felt genuine rather than tied to conventional expectations. The song centers on recognition rather than idealization, a theme Teler has previously incorporated into his compositions.

Born in Medellín on September 5, 1994, Tory Teler is known for his work as a songwriter behind several popular songs by Colombian singer Juan Duque, including “Solcito,” “María,” and “Perdidos en Milán,” as well as contributing to a significant portion of Duque’s broader catalog. His work has positioned him as a notable creative figure within the emerging music scene in Colombia.
With this release, Teler continues to establish his identity as a solo artist.
He describes music as a necessity rather than a choice, and sees songwriting as a means of processing lived experiences. His artistic approach is centered on conveying reality, emotional memory, and experiences shared between listeners and their own histories.
The artist said he aims for his music to evoke recognition and emotional resonance, particularly through themes linked to nostalgia, understood not only as longing but also as a connection to meaningful moments.
Tory Teler is expected to release additional music throughout 2025, accompanied by live performances and collaborative projects yet to be announced. EFE
