Canada ties 1-1 against Bosnia and Herzegovina

​Toronto, Canada, Jun 12 (EFE).- Canada tied in its debut as co-host of the 2026 World Cup, 1-1 against Bosnia and Herzegovina on Friday in the Group B opener at Toronto’s stadium.

​Bosnia and Herzegovina took the lead 21 minutes into the first half with a header by Jovo Lukic following a corner kick.

​Cyle Larin,31, who plays for England’s Southampton, equalized for Canada in the 33rd minute with a powerful shot at mid-height that slipped.

​On the second matchday of Group B, Thursday, June 18, Canada will face Qatar, and Bosnia and Herzegovina will take on Switzerland. EFE
