Choe, in turn, stressed on North Korean leader Kim Jong-un’s instructions to resolutely support the army and the Russian people ever since conflict broke out in Ukraine.

She added that Pyongyang was certain that under the leadership of President Vladimir Putin, the Russian army and people would certainly achieve a great victory, and promised North Korea’s total support until the end.

The talks of the Russian and North Korean foreign ministers come amid reports that North Korean soldiers are in the Kursk region ready to fight Ukrainian troops.

Lavrov stressed that the bilateral Comprehensive Strategic Partnership treaty signed in June, which includes mutual military assistance, has already begun to be implemented for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries, and the stability in the Korean Peninsula and the Eurasian continent as a whole.
