Kyiv, Nov 18 (EFE).- At least 11 people were killed and another 89 injured in the Ukrainian city of Sumy after a Russian missile hit a residential building on Sunday night, local authorities said.

Ukraine’s first lady, Olena Zelenska, condemned the attack and said that the victims included two children.

«This is an attack not just to Ukrainians, but to the very concept of humanity. And to everyone who believes that the enemy can be stopped by concessions, not force,» Zelenska wrote on X.
Among the injured are 11 children, according to the Ukrainian emergency services.
Sumy is located next to the border with Russia and is regularly attacked by Kremlin forces.
Russia launched a massive attack with 120 missiles and 90 drones against several regions of Ukraine targeting Ukraine’s energy infrastructure on Sunday.

The destruction caused by the attacks has led the authorities to schedule power cuts throughout the country. EFE
