Liverpool’s Díaz, Salah destroy Manchester United

Sports Desk, Sep 1 (EFE).- In seven minutes, Liverpool wiped out Manchester United with two goals by Luis Díaz, and another later from Mohamed Salah, to take them 3-0 and shoot them to the top of the table.

From minute 35 to minute 42, Arne Slot’s team finished off the game with their only two shots at goal in the first half to the disbelief of United.

Earlier, in the 6th minute, a goal by Trent Alexander Arnold had been ruled offside by millimeters.

United’s Brazilian center-half Casemiro lost two balls for the first two goals. Both resulted in two quick actions by Liverpool, both decided by Luis Díaz in two passes from Salah. The 1-0, with a cross from the right flank for the solo finish by the Colombian winger. The 2-0, with a pass into the area that Luis Díaz transformed into a goal, with a magnificent right-footed shot.

Two shots, two goals and an already unbearable weight for United. Casemiro was left on the sidelines at half-time.

A shot from Zirkzee was repelled by Alisson, but United understood that the comeback was impossible when Salah took the score to 3-0 in the 53rd minute. Moments later, the Egyptian came close to making it 4-0, but his shot was too high.

Manchester City, with whom United now shares the lead with 9 points, have been warned. EFE
