International Desk (EFE).- The Champions League group stage opened on Wednesday with victories for Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, and Liverpool.
In Germany, Bayern Munich defeated Chelsea 3-1.
The hosts went ahead in the 20th minute when Trevoh Chalobah scored an own goal from a cross by Michael Olise.
Harry Kane doubled the lead in the 62nd minute after a poor clearance. Chelsea pulled one back, but Bayern secured the result with a late goal, during the second day of the Champions League.
“It’s important to start with a win,” Kane said.
Colombian forward Luis Díaz started and created several dangerous crosses.

In Paris, PSG beat Atalanta 4-0.
Marquinhos opened the scoring early, followed by goals from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Nuno Mendes, and Gonçalo Ramos in stoppage time.

Bradley Barcola missed a penalty but contributed an assist. “We wanted to show our level from the start,” said PSG coach Luis Enrique.
At Anfield, Liverpool edged Atlético Madrid 3-2 at the Champions League.
Mohamed Salah gave the home team the lead with an early deflected shot, and Liverpool added two more before Atlético reduced the gap with two goals in the second half.
