Washington, Nov 6 (EFE).- United States Democratic candidate Kamala Harris canceled early Wednesday morning a speech she was scheduled to offer at the end of election day and postponed it after being in clear disadvantage against Republican candidate Donald Trump.

Campaign Co-chair Cedric Richmond spoke at Howard University in northwest Washington to say the vice president would not be speaking.

“We still have votes to count. We still have states that have not been called,” Richmond said shortly before 1am (6:00 GMT.) “You will hear from her tomorrow.”
The spokesman, who spoke before a room that had already been partially emptied due to the lack of positive news, said Harris would appear later on Wednesday to address her supporters.
Trump has 246 of the 270 Electoral College delegates needed to declare himself the winner, and the media have already confirmed his victory in North Carolina and Georgia, two of the seven swing states that will decide these elections. EFE
