Kyiv, Nov 7 (EFE).- Russian forces launched another massive drone attack in the early hours of Thursday morning, targeting the cities of Kyiv and Odessa, according to local authorities.
In the capital and its surroundings, the Ukrainian military shot down more than 30 drones.
Fragments of some of these drones fell in residential areas and caused damage to homes and commercial infrastructure, according to the military administration of Kyiv region.
In Odessa, Ukraine’s main seaport in the south, a multi-storey building and an undetermined number of cars were hit during the attack, in which a 30-year-old man was also injured, according to the regional military administration.
The Russian drones also reached the region of Zhitomir, in central Ukraine, where they hit electrical infrastructure. Three districts of the region have been temporarily left without electricity as a result of the impact, according to the authorities.
At the same time, a Russian aerial bomb has killed one person in the southeastern Ukrainian region of Sumi, bordering Russia.
Russia attacks Ukrainian territory every night with dozens of Iranian Shahed drones, a relatively cheap technology capable of reaching distances of more than 1,000 kilometers.
Ukrainian air defenses intercept the vast majority of the drones, which nevertheless continue to cause casualties and material damage by debris impacting infrastructure and residences. EFE
