Russia launches first combined drone, missile attack on Kyiv in more than 2 months

Kyiv, Nov 13 (EFE).- Russian forces launched the first combined missile and drone attack against the Ukrainian capital in more than two months in the early hours of Wednesday, the Military Administration of Kyiv region reported.

“Tonight and in the morning Kyiv region was attacked by the enemy with the help of UAVs and rockets. The alarm lasts more than 8 hours,” the administration said.

The air alert was activated in the capital after 6 am local time (03:00 GMT) due to the arrival of drones, which were followed by cruise and ballistic missiles and another wave of drones.

Russia used North Korean air-launched cruise missiles, Iskander-M or North Korean KN-23/24 ballistic missiles, and Iranian Shahed drones.

“As a result of falling fragments of downed enemy targets, a (…) 48-year-old man received head injuries, his condition is satisfactory. Necessary medical assistance was provided on the spot. He refused hospitalization,” the administration said.

A warehouse also caught fire in Kyiv region’s Brovary district, which is now contained.
