At least 30 killed in latest Israeli attacks in Gaza

Gaza/Jerusalem, Dec 10 (EFE).- At least 30 Palestinians were killed in the latest Israeli attacks across the besieged Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours, according to Gaza health officials on Tuesday.

The majority of casualties occurred in central and northern Gaza, Gazan health officials told EFE.

Gaza Civil Defense teams reported that seven people were killed early Monday in a missile strike on a house in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza.

Their bodies were transferred to Al Awda Hospital, the emergency services confirmed.

On Monday night, another 25 people were killed when Israeli fighter jets bombed residential areas in Beit Hanoun, northern Gaza, medical sources confirmed.

In a statement, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) claimed that they killed at least 10 alleged “terrorists” involved in an attack on Israeli soldiers in northern Gaza on Monday. The attack left three Israeli sergeants dead and two others critically injured.

Most residents of Beit Hanoun and Beit Lahia towns have been forcibly displaced due to Israel’s ongoing military offensive, which began more than two months ago across northern Gaza.

Gaza authorities claim the offensive has resulted in at least 3,700 people killed or missing.

Since the operation began, the IDF has largely blocked the entry of humanitarian aid into northern Gaza, worsening conditions for the civilian population.

The destruction of nearly 90 percent of civilian infrastructure has left thousands of Gazans without basic resources or access to adequate living conditions.

Since the conflict began on Oct. 7, 2023, more than 44,700 Gazans have been killed, over 106,000 wounded, and 11,000 remain missing, presumed dead under rubble from Israeli airstrikes, according to the Gaza health ministry. EFE
