Vienna, Jan 12 (EFE).- Six people died and eight others were injured after a gas heater overturned, triggering an explosion and a fire in a restaurant in the Czech town of Most, according to firefighters.
The incident occurred overnight from Saturday to Sunday, with the fire spreading rapidly through the building.

The likely cause of the accident was a gas heater tipping over, although Interior Minister Vít Rakušan suggested that a butane cylinder explosion could have been responsible.
Around 30 people managed to escape the building on fire, but six of the injured are in serious condition and have been taken to various hospitals. A firefighter involved in the rescue efforts also sustained injuries.

The fire started at approximately 11:17 PM, according to local newspaper Denik, with flames engulfing the structure by the time emergency services arrived around 1:00 AM.
Authorities are now investigating the cause of the fire, with the Criminal Police leading the probe. Firefighters are inspecting the stability of the building to ensure a safe investigation. EFE
