Real Madrid takes top spot in LaLiga with 4-1 win over Las Palmas

Madrid, Jan 19 (EFE).- Real Madrid stormed to the top of the EA Sports LaLiga table with a 4-1 win over UD Las Palmas at the Santiago Bernabéu on Sunday.

The Meringue side took advantage of Atlético Madrid’s 1-0 loss to Leganés on Saturday, their first defeat after 15 consecutive wins.

After an early goal from Fábio Silva put Las Palmas ahead, Real Madrid responded with vengeance.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side moved two points clear of Atlético Madrid and seven points clear of Barcelona. EFE
