Washington, DC (EFE).– House Democrats on Wednesday released previously unseen photos and videos from the private island of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein in the United States Virgin Islands, the epicenter of the financier’s abuse network.
The material includes images of bedrooms and bathrooms inside the main residence, as well as a room containing a dentist’s chair and masks hanging on the wall.
Another photo shows a landline telephone with rapid-dial contacts labeled “Darren,” “Rich,” “Mike,” “Patrick,” and “Larry.”
A separate living room display board contains handwritten words such as “power,” “deception,” and “politics.”
The Caribbean property, often described by US media as “the pedophile island,” was purchased by Epstein in the 1990s and used as his private residence.

“These new images provide a disturbing window into Jeffrey Epstein’s world and his island. We are releasing these photos and videos to ensure public transparency in our investigation and to help reconstruct the full picture of Epstein’s horrific crimes,” said Democrat Robert Garcia, the ranking member of the House Oversight Committee leading the inquiry.
The Committee also received documents from J.P. Morgan and Deutsche Bank related to Epstein, which Democrats intend to make public after review.

On Nov. 18, the Committee requested documents, communications and information from the attorney general of the US Virgin Islands regarding investigations into Epstein, who died by suicide in a New York jail in 2019, and Ghislaine Maxwell, his partner and accomplice currently serving a federal prison sentence.
Last month, Congress passed legislation, backed by both Republicans and Democrats, requiring the Department of Justice to release the case files, which have not yet been disclosed.

United States President Donald Trump, who had a social relationship with Epstein decades ago, initially opposed releasing the documents, claiming the move was a Democratic strategy meant to damage him politically, but later expressed support for the bill. EFE
