Clinton urges release of all Epstein files mentioning him

Washington, DC (EFE).- Former United States President Bill Clinton on Monday called on the Justice Department to immediately release all remaining files from the Jeffrey Epstein investigation that mention or include images of him, after the administration of United States President Donald Trump published photographs showing the former Democratic leader.

“We urge President Trump to instruct Attorney General Pam Bondi to immediately release any remaining material that refers to Bill Clinton, mentions him, or contains photographs of him,” Clinton’s spokesman, Ángel Ureña, said in a statement.

Ureña warned that failing to release the full body of investigative material would expose what he described as “selective leaks” aimed at implicating individuals who have repeatedly been cleared by prosecutors, referring to Clinton.

“The information the Justice Department has released so far, and the way it has done so, makes one thing clear: someone or something is being protected,” Ureña said. “We don’t know who, what or why. But we do know this: no such protection is needed.”

The Justice Department on Friday launched a public website allowing access to documents from the Epstein investigation, following congressional approval of a law requiring the government to disclose all non-classified material related to the case.

The Justice Department on Friday launched a public website allowing access to documents from the Epstein investigation, following congressional approval of a law requiring the government to disclose all non-classified material related to the case.

Epstein, a financier accused of running a large-scale sex trafficking operation involving minors, died by suicide in a New York jail in 2019 while awaiting trial.

Delays and selective disclosures

Federal prosecutors have acknowledged that the full release of the documents will take time, citing the volume of data and the complexity of the information involved.

Among the files already published are several photographs of Clinton, including one in which he appears sitting in a jacuzzi with another individual whose face has been censored.

That image was widely shared on social media by White House officials.

The declassified material includes at least five other photographs of Clinton. In two, he appears alongside Epstein, while in others he is seen attending a party with British musician Mick Jagger, without Epstein present.

Ureña criticized the manner in which the materials were released, arguing that partial disclosures risk misleading the public and damaging reputations without evidentiary basis.

Past ties, no evidence of wrongdoing

Clinton and Epstein maintained a close relationship during the 1990s and early 2000s. However, to date, no evidence has emerged linking the former president to Epstein’s criminal activities, according to U.S. prosecutors.

Trump, who also had past social ties with Epstein, has repeatedly claimed that Clinton traveled dozens of times to Epstein’s private island in the Caribbean. Those claims remain unsubstantiated.

White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles acknowledged in a recent interview with Vanity Fair that there is no evidence supporting the allegation that Clinton visited the island approximately 30 times. EFE
