Moscow (EFE).- More than 200 Russian couples will say ‘I do’ at the Wedding Festival that started this Tuesday at the Rossiya Center in Moscow, as part of Family, Love, and Faithfulness Day.
Under the slogan ‘Russia, connecting hearts’, the event includes wedding ceremonies, concerts, master classes, exhibitions, and other festive acts.

Despite temperatures of over 30°C degrees (89°F), the couples paraded with a smile in front of journalists and onlookers, waving and posing for the cameras.
Once inside the venue, the brides and grooms participated in the ceremony and danced their first dance as a married couple.

The festival also showcases wedding dresses from renowned Russian designers, which pay homage to current fashion and the past, emulating dresses worn by brides during the Soviet and Tsarist eras.
According to the organizers, festival visitors will be able to appreciate the evolution of wedding attire in Russia over several centuries.

The event also teaches about the gastronomic traditions at Russian weddings.
In May 2025 alone, more than 7,200 marriages were celebrated in the Russian capital, according to official statistics.

A record number for the past decade, that authorities chalk to the festivities celebrated during the month, Victory Day and Labor Day.
The second edition of the All-Russian Wedding Festival will last til Jul. 10, after the success of last year when 282 couples were married. EFE
