Moscow, June 15 (EFE).- Five civilians were killed in a Ukrainian bombing on southern Russia’s Belgorod region, officials said on Saturday.
Russia’s Emergencies Ministry said four bodies were pulled from the rubble of a multi-story building hit by Ukrainian bombing in the border town of Shebekino.
Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said a woman who was hospitalized after sustaining injuries in the attack.
“She was operated on. Her heart stopped several times, and doctors carried out resuscitation measures. The severity of the injuries was not compatible with life,” the governor wrote on his Telegram channel.
He said a total of six civilians were injured. Six people were also rescued from the upper floors of the residential building.
A section of the building collapsed due to the bombing bombing, which damaged to two other structures in Shebekino on Friday.
Shebekino, with a population of nearly 40,000 before Russia launched its military campaign in Ukraine in February 2022, is located just 5 kilometers from the Ukrainian border. EFE
