Chelsea struggles continue with home defeat to Forest

Sports Desk, Sep 2 (EFE).- Chelsea continued their poor start to the season as they slumped to a 0-1 home defeat to Nottingham Forest.

British record signing Moises Caicedo’s error allowed Taiwo Awoniyi to break clear and play in substitute Anthony Elanga for him to score his first goal for Forest since joining from Manchester United.

Chelsea, who have spent over 1 billion pounds ($1.26bn) on new players since owner Todd Boehly took over a year ago, looked disjointed and lacked a cutting edge against a well-drilled visiting Forest side.

But the Londoners should have scored in the final 10 minutes when striker Nicolas Jackson was guilty of missing a glorious chance to equalize.

Chelsea have won just once in four games, with Saturday’s defeat their second already this season. EFE
