Hungarian woman claims Neymar’s paternity of her daughter

Sao Paulo, Jan 30 (EFE).- A Hungarian woman has requested a Brazilian court to confirm football star Neymar’s paternity of her 10-year-old daughter through a DNA test and order monthly child support of about $32,500, her lawyer, Angelo Carbone, said Tuesday.

Gabriella Gaspar, who currently resides in Hungary with her daughter, filed a civil petition in the family court of Sao Paulo last week after several failed attempts to contact the Brazilian forward of the Saudi club Al-Hilal and his family.

Carbone told EFE that his client was a model when she met the former Santos, Barcelona, and Paris Saint-Germain player in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, where he played a match with the Brazilian team against Bolivia.

“They invited her to watch the game; she went, and they met there,” said the lawyer.

According to Carbone, they had a fleeting relationship, and Gaspar became pregnant.

Since then, she has been trying for “more than 10 years” to contact Neymar “without success” and even sent a letter to the Neymar Institute, but “nothing was achieved,” according to the lawsuit seen by EFE.

Upon confirmation of paternity, Gaspar has asked for child support of 160,000 Brazilian real per month ($32,500) and an additional amount of about 20 million real for the 10 years she had to raise the child without support.

“The girl needs it, and she is afraid. Everyone knows that she is Neymar’s daughter, and she is afraid of being kidnapped,” Carbone said.

Neymar, who is in Brazil recovering from a torn cruciate ligament and meniscus in his left knee, has two children, Davi Lucca and Mavie, with social media influencer Carol Dantas and model Bruna Biancardi respectively. EFE
