Paris, June 5 (EFE).- Alexander Zverev advanced to his second Roland Garros final after defeating Czech player Jakub Mensik 7-5, 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 in three hours on Friday.
Zverev, 29 and world No. 3, will face Flavio Cobolli in the final after Matteo Arnaldi withdrew from the semifinals due to illness.
On Friday, Mensik’s good fortune, which had seen him defeat higher-ranked opponents during the tournament, seemed to hold until midway through the first set, when he had three break points to take a 5-3 lead with his serve.

Zverev didn’t falter and won three straight games, taking the lead.
In the second set, he strung together another run of three games to build a lead he held onto until the end, though the Czech fought back in the third set, where a dip in the German’s performance allowed him to drop a set, his second of the tournament.
Errors proved unforgiving for Mensik, who received medical treatment on his neck and immediately fell behind 3-0 in the fourth set. EFE
