International Newsroom, Sep 22 (EFE).- Tom Holland had to be rushed to the hospital after suffering a mild concussion during the filming of the new Spider-Man movie but he is expected to return to work in a few days, several US media outlets reported.
Holland was injured on Friday while performing a stunt during the filming of ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’, which is currently underway at Leavesden Studios in Watford, northwest London.
Filming was suspended so the British actor could receive treatment, and it was decided that he would take a few days off, but he is doing well.
The day after the incident, Holland attended a charity event at Christie’s auction house in London with his girlfriend, Zendaya.
A meeting will be held on Monday to adjust the film’s shooting schedule, which began last month in Scotland, according to sources cited by Deadline.
‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ is the fourth installment of the Spider-Man franchise starring Holland, following ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ (2017), ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’ (2019), and ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ (2021), which was the highest-grossing film of the year worldwide in 2021 and the eighth highest-grossing film ever with a collection of $1.91 billion.
The fourth film of the franchise will be released in July 2026, Sony Pictures announced last year. EFE
