‘Easy on Me’: Adele announces four Munich concerts

Madrid, Jan 31 (EFE).- British singer Adele said on Wednesday that she would be performing in Munich, Germany, for four concerts in August, marking her return to European stages outside the United Kingdom since 2016.

The concerts are scheduled for August 2, 3, 9, and 10 at an open-air arena in Munich Messe, with a capacity for 80,000 people per night.

“In Munich? That’s a bit random, but still fabulous,” the singer posted on the social media platform Instagram.

“I haven’t played in Europe since 2016! I couldn’t think of a more wonderful way to spend my summer and end this beautiful phase of my life and career with shows closer to home during such an exciting summer.”

She said the offer of “a one-off, bespoke pop-up stadium designed around whatever show I want to put on” had tempted her, describing the location as “pretty much slap bang in the middle of Europe.”

Adele, best known for hits like “Easy On Me,” “Hello,” “Someone Like You,” and “Rolling in the Deep,” is currently working on the final leg of her Las Vegas tour, “Weekends With Adele,” which runs through mid-June.

The 35-year-old will finish her Las Vegas tour on June 15, wrapping a 50-weekend performances of 100 concerts.

Additionally, in 2022 she had a series of sold-out concerts in Hyde Park, London. However, she has not performed outside the United Kingdom since she her “Adele Live 2016” tour.

The 2016 tour had a single stop in Barcelona, where she performed at two concerts in May that year.

After Europe, Adele traveled to the United States, Mexico, and Australia, to close the tour in July 2017 with four dates in London.

Ticket registration for the Munich tour is open until Feb. 5. EFE
